The Simple Internet Marketing Guide to SEO was mostly born from necessity.

When I was new to online marketing one of the first things I did to make money, was to do local Internet Marketing for businesses in my community. This early venture, really paved the way and funded for most of my future work online.

I didn’t know a lot when I started, so I devoured all of the info I could find online. It took countless hours sifting through the trash, figuring out what was a good resource. I often wished I had a guide to help me find the info I needed. That is why I began to create the SEO Guide, although at the time it was just a handy tool for myself.

This guide will help save you a TON of time by pointing you towards the best SEO resources available out there by answering some common IM questions.

Then it’s SEO Roadtrip time!  There will be no time for theory or conjecture; we are out to bag-a-list of the Best-of-Class and Free SEO Resources on the Internet and have that vast World Wild Web (a little literary liberty there).  I can here the sighs of relief and muffled ‘thank goodness’ from many friends… I know you’ll miss my musing.

To gain an understanding we’ll start with Wikipedia first states; “Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural,” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”), search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users.”

Wow, appears  SEO covers most all of our marketing efforts, online and offline, and even more questions, so let’s start right in…
